The ESW 1018 is a professional bass reflex subwoofer that has been specifically designed for use with the EVENT series speakers.
The ESW 1018 subwoofer offers the following features:
1) Perfect definition down to 38 Hz.
2) Tuning frequency: 35 Hz
3) High efficiency (106 dB SPL in anechoic chamber half-volume).
3) Excellent ability to reproduce high power levels with low distortion up to 6000 W peak.
5) Compact dimensions for a passive speaker (250 liters volume).
The ESW 1018 incorporates a 350 mm (18") diameter woofer that can support 6000 W of peak power.
Theexponential profile diaphragm is made of water-repellent cellulose pulp which provides a high damping factor.
With a special RCF design, the configuration and physical characteristics of the spider guarantee excellent lowfrequency control and perfect linearity
The 100 mm (4";) coil support is made of Kapton and assembled usinghigh temperature adhesives (resistant up to 300"C).
The incorporated passive crossover has been specifically designed to work with the EVENT 1000, 3000 and4000 speakers.
The 12/6 dB/oct filter has a cut-off frequency; of 120 Hz,
and can be by passed using a switchwhen an external crossover is used for creating a biamplification system.
The cabinet is covered with blackmoquette,
and has metal corner pieces to ensure protection against impact during transport and when thespeaker is situated on the floor.
A special coupling situated over the covering on the upper part of the cabinet isused for fitting the EA 2 accessory,
a metal support rod that can be used for installing the EVENT seriesspeakers above the ESW 1018 subwoofer to optimize the height of` the speaker from the floor.
